Abstract
This paper delves into the burgeoning trend of Electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePRO), which is evolving alongside Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the integration of ePRO systems into clinical trials, a trend that is expected to continue. Through the lens of the author's insights, we explore the current landscape of ePRO systems, addressing their significant impacts on healthcare and clinical research. Furthermore, we discuss anticipated advancements, underscoring the role of ePRO in enhancing patient-centred care and research methodologies. This exploration highlights the transformative potential of ePRO systems and sets the stage for upcoming developments in this critical area of digital health.
